As I am working as a SAP SD Consultant.
I discussed with my TL, that how to become TL.

They told
1. First you have to be experts(End to end) in your Skills and also be aware with integrated module.
2. Spent at least 2 - 3 years in one company.
3. Visit Onsite Location and get a good performance rating.
4. Be Capable to discuss with client and make satisfy with own opinion.

After become a TL
1. Make daily report and send to manager.
2. Handle and manage Team issue.
